About Us

The Semple family, Andrew and Jane along with son Richard and daughter in law Steph purchased the pub in October 2005. A programme of extensive renovation has now taken place.

View of the Bar This is a family run operation. Richard runs the kitchen as chef, Jane prepares puddings and organises accommodation, Steph is in charge of the bar and knows a good wine when she tastes one, Andrew keeps his head down, checks the beer quality and does the odd jobs!

The pub has a comfortable homely atmosphere especially in the lounge and dining room. The bar has a pool table and dart board and in winter has a log burning stove to supplement the central heating. The lounge has an open fire ideal for customers to sit by and enjoy a relaxing drink. The dining room can seat 52 for a formal meal and we can accomodate up to 200 people for a buffet style meal.

It is securely fenced. There is ample car parking space. The Inn on the Green is home to a steam engine.
