Welcome
The Inn on the Green lies in the Onny valley nestling between the Longmynd Hills to the east and the Stiperstones to the West. It is just six miles from Bishops castle and 20 minutes drive from the County town of Shrewsbury.
About Us
The Semple family, Andrew and Jane along with son Richard purchased the pub in October 2005. A programme of extensive renovation has now taken place.
This is a family run operation. Richard runs the kitchen as chef, Jane prepares puddings and organises accommodation, Andrew runs the bar, checks the beer quality and does the odd jobs!
The pub has a comfortable homely atmosphere especially in the lounge and dining room. The bar has a pool table and dart board and in winter has a log burning stove to supplement the central heating. The lounge has a log burner, ideal for customers to sit by and enjoy a relaxing drink. The dining room can seat 52 for a formal meal and we can accomodate up to 200 people for a buffet style meal.
Accessibility
There is wheel chair access at the front door from the level car park, all the public rooms are on one level and there is a disabled toilet facility. Please look at our access statement for more help.
Outside there is a patio and beer garden ideal for a drink or meal on a fine evening. The garden is securely fenced. There is ample car parking space.
